Nigeria accounts for

World's largest education crisis!

Black Fragrance’s Education support programs center around improving access to, and improving the quality of basic education. Why is this such a big necessity in Nigeria?

According to UNESCO and Nigerian Ministry of Education, Nigeria has the largest number of out-of-school children in the world. 50% of the cumulative 20 million out of school children in the world are in Nigeria.

Basic Primary Education is provided largely by the government; however, many Government funded schools in Nigeria have practically collapsed over the years because of poor funding, leaving children from poor homes with no option than to receive their education in such poor facilities or roam the streets.

To ensure that poverty has no grip on our future, we shall be investing time and resources in getting out-of-school kids into quality schools, specifically at the primary and secondary school levels, for both boys and girls.

No school-age child

Should be out of School!

According to Nelson Mandela, “No country can really develop unless its citizens are educated. Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” We are strong believers of his ideology on education and that is why we have adopted the following actions:

1. We partner with private and good quality schools in affected communities to enrol out-of-school children. Funding for which will be sourced by Black Fragrance.

2. We support poorly equipped schools in underserved communities with educational resources and facilities to enhance learning in a sustainable manner.
